Prince Harry Visits a L.E.A.D. Academy

3rd February 2015

HRH Prince Harry has been working with L.E.A.D. academies in St. Ann’s, Nottingham.  As part of this he visited Huntingdon Academy.  The Prince’s visit allowed him to see after school clubs that have been provided by the charity Epic Partners and Huntingdon Academy with support received from The Royal Foundation.

Prince Harry visited three of our after school clubs where he saw a gardening club and the greenhouse made of plastic bottles that is situated within an eco-garden.  There was a bicycle maintenance and repair class, with the children learning how to replace tyres and wheels and lastly a game of football.   It’s great for the children to share their work with a member of the Royal Family.

Prince Harry then went onto Cineworld in Nottingham to see the world premiere of the film Guillemot.  This is a hard-hitting story dealing with the issues that many of the young people in St. Ann’s cope with as part of their everyday lives.  Guillemot was created entirely by the young people of St. Ann’s with support from the Full Effect Project and The Royal Foundation.

Please see below some photographs of Prince Harry’s visit.
